Description

The Weldmark® by Victor® Acetylene Smith style MC12 series Oxy-Fuel Size 1 Cutting Tip has a 1/2- 5/8 inch cutting capacity. This general purpose Smith MC12 series tip is one piece. It is ideal for hand torch cutting. It is compatible with MC505, MC509, CC509P, and AC309 cutting attachments, and has an average kerf width of 0.080". It's designed for use with Acetylene. The max Acetylene pressure is 10 and the max oxygen cutting pressure is 50. Oxy-Fuel cutting is a thermal cutting process utilizing oxygen and fuel gases to cut through metals such as mild steel. In this process, the torch heats the steel to its ignition temperature, after which oxygen is directed to the cutting point, burning it into a molten metal. A stream of gas blows the molten metal away from the work area, resulting in a clean cut.
